ADI Helps Dealers "Lead The Way" to New Opportunities with its 2010 Expo Training Series

Kicks Off Industry’s Largest One-Day Event

Melville, N.Y., March 1, 2010 – ADI today announced the launch of its 2010 ADI Expo Training Series to help dealers Lead the Way to new opportunities. Free to all industry professionals, the ADI Expo offers a wide variety of training seminars, a chance to demo the latest technology, interact with leading manufacturers and local associations, and network with industry peers.

ADI’s 2010 Expo Training Series has been enhanced to offer new exciting opportunities to position dealers in front of new technologies, products and services. With more than 130 participating manufacturers and 39 venues across North America, this year’s theme, Lead the Way, demonstrates the commitment of ADI and its vendors to provide dealers with the tools and resources they need to enhance their business growth in today’s market. The 2010 Expo Training Series is set to deliver more content, more seminars and more opportunities than ever before to help dealers succeed.

In addition to the 26 Full Expos being offered this year, the Expo Training Series will include 13 new Extreme Expos with a full roster of fresh training opportunities dedicated to security, IP and A/V. Dealers will learn about the latest industry trends, expand their knowledge of designing and selling complete solutions and learn how to increase their sales. The Full Expos will continue to focus on core security and A/V solutions and allow dealers to participate in technology seminars, CEU accredited courses, and Learn How A/V and Connectivity classes. Throughout the day, dealers will have the opportunity to gain real world, hands-on experience. An open exhibit floor in the evening provides attendees with the chance to see product demonstrations and spend time with manufacturers. The Expo also creates an excellent networking opportunity for dealers to share knowledge, and discuss best practices.

“We have been attending the ADI Expos for as long as they have existed. This year we rented a tour bus to bring all our sales, technicians and central station employees to the event,” said Paul Kinard, at Coastal Burglar Alarm in Charleston, SC. “The Expo allows our team to see the latest products, get a better understanding of the solutions they are selling and monitoring, and become more excited about the industry. We really enjoy the time spent with the different vendors and ADI employees, and we look forward to this year’s event.”

At the Expo, dealers will also have the opportunity to enter for their chance to win a brand new Chevrolet Camaro SS through ADI’s customer appreciation car giveaway sweepstakes.

“The ADI Expo is a huge benefit to us, and we’ve been participating in them since they began more than 15 years ago,” said Dick Dunn, national accounts manager at Linear. “The Expo provides an excellent forum to gain exposure to a large cross section of dealers, and spend time with them. The Expo helps us evaluate industry needs, and presents a great vehicle to showcase new products and marketing opportunities. We are looking forward to the 2010 season.”

“At ADI, we are dedicated to providing our dealers with the training and support they need to grow their business. These free regional training events offer the perfect opportunity for dealers to explore new technology and learn from some of the industry’s leading manufacturers,” said John Sullivan, vice president of sales at ADI. “We are extremely excited to kick off our 2010 Expo season and help our dealers lead the way to a brighter future.”

In 2009, ADI and its participating vendors reached more than 12,000 dealers throughout the year. The 2010 theme, Lead the Way, will visit 39 cities across North America, and kicked off last month in Oklahoma City.
