Recognized for Contributions to the Electronic Systems Industry Melville, N.Y., October 28, 2009 – ADI announced today Michael Masten, national training manager, was selected as the 2009 Associate Volunteer of the Year by the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA). He was recognized for his contributions to CEDIA, and the custom electronics industry. CEDIA is a leading source for education and communication in the custom installation community, and this award demonstrates ADI’s commitment to providing its customers with valuable training opportunities.
Each year, CEDIA recognizes the best of the best in the residential electronic systems industry. Manufacturers, residential electronic systems contractors, and CEDIA volunteers are recognized for their achievements and contributions to the association. Masten was honored for the dedication, initiative and achievement he has demonstrated to CEDIA and the A/V market. Over the past two years, he has played an essential role in the development and implementation of the CEDIA University Electronic Systems Technician Content Action Team. Masten is also a driving force in the success of CEDIA University training programs across the country at ADI locations.
Masten joined ADI more than 19 years ago, and currently serves as the company’s national training manager. Responsible for ADI’s comprehensive dealer training program, he works very closely with CEDIA and other industry associations and manufacturers to ensure valuable educational opportunities are being offered at ADI branch locations across North America. As an industry veteran, he has held a variety of positions at ADI including area manager, branch manager, systems specialist, access control specialist and access control field product manager. Masten holds an associate’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.
