ADI Customer Appreciation Event Rocks CEDIA EXPO 2009
10/12/2009
More than 1,300 Customers Invited to the Fourth Annual ADI Celebration; Learning Labs Delivered Hands-On Experience.

Melville, N.Y., October 12, 2009 – ADI joined together with many industry-leading vendors to host a special event to thank customers for their continuous support at this year’s CEDIA EXPO 2009 in Atlanta, Ga. ADI also sponsored the CEDIA Learning Labs to provide attendees with hands-on experiences with the latest technology.

More than 1,300 dealers were invited to ADI’s fourth annual customer celebration, held at the Opera Atlanta Event Center. Built in the 1920’s, the Opera Atlanta Event Center retains the unique historical character and stunning architectural details of that period. The event was sponsored by more than 20 leading manufacturers including Key Digital, Pioneer, Proficient, Russound, Honeywell, Peerless, Universal Remote Control, JVC, Monster and Sharp. Customers and vendors enjoyed an evening of first-class catering and entertainment by the popular band Soul Asylum, who captivated the audience with their alternative rock hits.

The CEDIA Learning Labs sponsored by ADI included four separate full-featured rooms equipped with the latest technology to provide electronic systems contractors with practical real-world knowledge. Over 700 dealers visited the Learning Labs for an opportunity to see and test the newest products. The Learning Labs hosted 23 separate training sessions linked to 12 CEDIA University courses being offer at the EXPO.

“The Learning Labs were the highlight of my CEDIA EXPO experience. I’m a hands-on, visual learner and these labs gave me the opportunity to touch, feel and see products that I design on a daily basis,” said Ben Savage, custom installations specialist at A to Z Security and Sound, Inc. in Mary Esther, Fla. “It was great to have an environment that was conducive to one-on-one product training without the stereotypes of a traditional training environment. I highly recommend this type of learning be introduced at future events.”

Over 3,000 attendees visited ADI’s booth to get the winning combination at this year’s CEDIA EXPO. Visitors tried their luck at traditional gaming tables, and had an opportunity to participate in ADI’s Player’s Club program for a chance to win a new Hitachi UltraThin HD flat screen monitor. Dealers were also able to enter to win a brand new Chevy Corvette Coupe through ADI’s Customer Appreciation Car Give Away Sweepstakes. Entries are collected throughout the year at all U.S. ADI Expos and major industry tradeshows.

“As a customer of ADI for 23 years, we really understand the value they provide to our business. ADI’s booth at CEDIA was very well received, and highlighted areas critical to the A/V and security market,” said Ron Rimawi, President of Digital Interiors, Inc. in Alpharetta, Ga. “The ADI customer event was great. The food, venue and entertainment were excellent, and we really enjoyed spending the evening with ADI and their manufacturers.”

ADI provides numerous opportunities throughout the year to express appreciation to its customers. ADI events include Expo seminars, training classes, trade show events, local branch events, sweepstakes and more.

“At ADI, our customers are the foundation of our business and we were pleased to have the opportunity to thank them for their continued support with this special customer appreciation event,” said John Sullivan, vice president of sales at ADI. “We are committed to helping our dealers succeed in today’s market, and were proud to sponsor the Learning Labs for the second year to provide a hands-on educational experience.”
